This is Danny, one of the raccoons that was taken care of at AWBAR last year (2008). Here he is perfecting his climbing skills.
 He was brought to AWBAR because his litter mates were nowhere to be found and his mother had abandoned him. What is AWBAR? It stands for "Abandoned Wild Babies Animal Rescue". AWBAR is run by one person, Amanda Smith. She takes in injured and abandoned wildlife and nurses them back to full health so that she can then release them back into the wild. AWBAR runs solely off of donations and is not state-funded. We are currently trying to raise money to get our non-for-profit status.
