Here is one of the 17 baby raccoons currently being taken care of at AWBAR. After spending a lot of time with them, I'm starting to notice all of their different physical qualities which helps me to tell them apart. This one in particular has a kind of different facial structure than all the other raccoons (he looks like a baby bear!)
They were all brought to AWBAR because they had been abandoned by their mother.
What is AWBAR? It stands for "Abandoned Wild Babies Animal Rescue". AWBAR is run by one person, Amanda Smith. She takes in injured and abandoned wildlife and nurses them back to full health so that she can then release them back into the wild. AWBAR runs solely off of donations and is not state-funded. We are currently trying to raise money to get our non-for-profit status.
If you would like to make a paypal donation to help the animals, please make it here: abandonedwildbabiesrescue@hotmail.com
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
